Sure I do ! :)
But you forgot to tell me which newsgroups were a problem for you. For example, let's
say it was news:bit.listserv.ibm-main.
First, let me point you out that bit.listserv newsgroups are just newsgroups gateways for mailing lists. Moreover, there's often no possibility to send messages to these using the newsgroup gateway; this is to avoid spamming.
So, for such newsgroups (the bit.listserv) you'd better subscribe the
mailing list version.
Be sure to have a filtering feature in that case, so you'll be able to automatically move
incoming messages to a special mail basket of your mailer. This useful because you probably won't
consider those mailing list messages as important as messages sent to you personally.
My mailer is Eudora pro, but many mailers have the filtering capability.
Now, concerning the fact you had a message "no such group in this server", it just means... no such group exists on the newsgroup server you have configured (probably the server of your provider).
There are two things you should understand :
Also, there are plenty of usefull offline readers for the newsgroup.
I use Forte's Agent client for Windows 95 (there's also a free version available, called Free Agent).
Anyway, just remember there are home page for Internet clients softwares, such as Tucows, which is my favourite.
