Loriaux's System/390 home page (OS/390, MVS, VSE, VM, z/OS, Linux/390) - Looking for applicants ?
This home page is built as a starting point for S/390 (OS/390, MVS, VSE, VM) system-programmers, application programmers and operators on the Internet. It's not just a directory of software and hardware products, but also a place where mainframe professionals can meet, introduce themselves, search for a new job, have their resume hosted. All services are FREE of charge for individuals as well as for companies. A search script is available online, so you won't have to loose your time to find something.

Of course there are plenty of IT recruiters whose job is to find the right man for positions. You'll find plenty of them on the job page. But I assumed this is not exactly the answer you're expecting, especially if YOU are a recruiter. :)

Well, first I suggest you to look at devoted conferences such as but not limited to news:biz.jobs.offered.
Those kinds of conferences are easy to find : they always contain "job" in their name so there's nothing to be afraid of when sending messages in appropriate conferences.
On the contrary, please avoid the sending of ads in technical conferences : that's not the place where they belong !

If you experience problems when trying to reach the newsgroups, please read my newsgroups FAQS

Also, don't forget to have a look at my mailing lists you can add your own advertisements too by sending emails to the appropriate list.

Concerning the list of applicants people often ask for, there isn't such a list; instead, people looking for a position contact recruiters listed in the jobs page. So, the best I could suggest you is to let me add you on that page.
All I need for this purpose is a good description.

Also note that your description (as well as email address of course) will then be sent to the subscribers of the newsletter (about 800); this is probably something you should consider !

As you know, there's little unemployment in the mainframe world so I wish you good luck ! :)
